Due to the early Spring, we had to make emergency changes to the 2012 Adopt-A-Tree Event. As you are probably aware all things botanical were jump started early this year, and we received our seedlings weeks earlier than usual. As a result we had to scramble to get them in the ground. Approximately 300 mixed conifers were planted on the east side of the Fox Hill (Moberly) property by a team led by director Jerry Gensch. Fifty were planted around the Timmer’s farm house. This coming Saturday, April 28th the remaining trees will be planted at the Rolfs Nature Preserve. That planting is being coordinated by an Eagle Scout candidate under the guidance of director Dave Baldus.
We will have a few potted seedlings available for adoption at the Welcome Spring Event May 19th.
We still value your donations for this worthwhile event and a huge Thank You to those who have already donated.
